Following on from the international recognition bestowed upon Dr Amy Kenworthy-U'ren when she was awarded the 2006 New Educator Award in May, our reputation for teaching excellence has again been acknowledged, this time by the prestigious Carrick Institute, confirming our leadership in this area in Australia.
I would like to congratulate our award winners - Dr Amy Kenworthy-U'Ren, Associate Professor Caroline Fewster, Associate Professor Keith Duncan, Dr Ray McNamara, Mrs Tanya Merrotsy, Mr Michael Fraser and Mrs Hana Kosik - on their Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning. These awards mark another outstanding achievement for the university and our world-class academic staff.
For those of you who are able to make it to the campus, Bond’s annual Open Day on August 20 is shaping up to be our best yet, with an exciting program of information seminars, activities and social events planned for the day.
I’m confident it will show off the beautiful Bond campus at its best- so please bring along your friends and family and enjoy the atmosphere. Along with all the information about our programs and facilities, there will also be music, dancing, free massages, video games and activities for the kids.
For students considering university studies, it is a must, but I would also encourage staff and students to join in the fun as it is sure to be a great day.
Professor Robert Stable Vice-Chancellor, Bond University
