The first major Review of Australian Higher Education since 2002 was announced in March by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Education, the Hon Julia Gillard MP. A Review Panel, chaired by Emeritus Professor Denise Bradley, will examine and report on the future direction of the sector and options for policy and funding reform. Stakeholders are currently participating in consultations and the preparation of submissions in response to the Review Panel's recently released discussion paper.

LAW/ IR GRADUATE CHAD SNAPS UP COVETED DEFENCE POSITION
In just a few short months since graduating from Bond with a double degree in Law and International Business, Chad Burnell has made his way into the halls of power.
Late last year, Chad was accepted into the 2008 Graduate Program offered by the Defence Materiel Organisation where he is now involved in helping to formulate the Australian Defence Department’s procurement framework and shaping the interface between defence and industry.
