VIPs TO VISIT BOND

Premier Peter BeattiePremier Peter Beattie, The Hon. Alexander Downer MP and Mr Paul Ramsay AO are among several VIPs who will be visiting Bond University in the coming weeks. Bond University is increasingly becoming a destination for VIPs of this calibre, which is a tribute to the rising profile of the University.

The Honourable Dr Peter Beattie MP, Premier of Queensland and Treasurer and Doctor of Bond University honoris causa will make his inaugural visit to Bond’s new Health Sciences and Medicine Building on Friday, 27 January. He will meet with medical students and take part in a question and answer session to discuss the issues relevant to their futures within the health industry.

MBBS student David Morgan will also address the Premier on the formation of the Rural Health Club – an initiative of Bond medical students – and will invite the Premier to comment on the health issues facing rural Queensland.

The Hon. Alexander Downer MPThe 48th Graduation Ceremony will be held on Saturday, 4 February with The Honourable Alexander Downer MP, Minister for Foreign Affairs (pictured left) offering the Occasional Address for the Undergraduate Ceremony in the morning and Mr Paul Ramsay AO (pictured right), Chairman of Ramsay Health Care Ltd and Prime Television Ltd. addressing the Postgraduate Ceremony in the afternoon.
