NEW SERVER ROOM

Following the opening of the New Server Room on the 29th of November 2007, Information Services have been actively engaged with the task of moving the production servers from the old server room to the new server room.

With the co-operation of University faculties, staff and students we have been able to complete the move of about two thirds of the production servers. During the coming months we will be completing the move of the remaining servers thus ensuring the integrity of ICT service delivery. To limit any disruptions to the absolute minimum, we are currenly working with staff and faculties to plan the service outages that will be required as part of the server migration to the New Server Room.
