To recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of staff, Information Services launched a staff awards scheme earlier this year. The first round of awards was hotly contested with four excellent nominations submitted.
Lisa Barker was nominated for her contribution in providing advice and support for students, her colleagues and teams in Information Services as well as other groups within the University.
Gillian Coutinho was nominated for her role in developing two new information literacy education initiatives based in the Law Faculty.
Stephen Crowther was nominated for his hard work and dedication in working through the installation and configuration of the Altiris Asset and Contracts Management database.
Daniel Ross and Peta Hopkins were nominated for their outstanding teamwork in streamlining and improving the use of student ID cards for Bond University English Language Institute (BUELI) students.
The Vice Chancellor was on hand to present the award to Daniel and Peta at the Information Services end of semester function. The event was also attended by Professor Raoul Mortley (Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences) as well as staff from Bond College and BUELI. All nominees were presented with a small memento and the winners received a framed certificate and have the choice of a range of vouchers.
We are now looking forward to the annual awards at the end of the year.
