INFORMATION SERVICES NEWS
TECHNOLOGY SERVICES CUSTOMER SURVEY
During July Information Services launched the TS Customer Survey for students which has provided valuable feedback on how we are currently performing and ways to improve our services.

These are some of the highlights of the survey findings:
  • On-Campus Internet Access, iLearn@Bond and eStudent are services deemed most important by students.
  • Email, iLearn@Bond and On-Campus Internet Access are services receiving the highest student satisfaction rate.
  • eStudent, Printing and Wireless are services receiving the lowest student satisfaction rate and showing the largest gaps between satisfaction and importance
  • 78% of students view the quality of support from IT as effective to very effective
  • 46% of students prefer service contact via email and 43% prefer face to face support
  • 82% of students have access to a laptop with the majority having wireless functionality
  • 90% of students have access to internet at home
  • 79% of students use on campus computing resources weekly or more often (41% use these resources daily).
As noted in the Directors message, we are working to resolve the issues students have raised as quickly as possible. For example, printing costs have been reduced and expansion of wireless access is planned for the near future. Many of the ICT projects planned for the coming months will help make students' experience at Bond a better one.

Thank you to all the students who took the time to give us their feedback. A similar survey for staff has also been conducted and the results of that survey are currently being collated.
